Celebrating literature by Black and Brown women writers and promoting diversity for our bookshelves!

Black Girls Bookshelf is a platform that celebrates literature by Black women writers and promotes representation in British literature. We also run events online and in the community in London and West Midlands. Black Girls Bookshelf acknowledges the lack of representation and that's we are tackling it head on. We aim to create a safe space with like-minded individuals where you can creatively express yourself as well as amplifying and centring the voices of Black and Brown writers. BGB is an excellent space for lovers of literature, those who are thinking about getting into the industry, or already are!
